Yes, if you add it by the meter: each meter is one unit. Arca counts whole units; it doesn't weigh or measure fractions.

How many colors can a product have?

As many as you need. Each combination is a variant of the same product, not a separate product.

Does it work if I also sell craft supplies?

Yes. Craft supplies go in as regular products, in their own category.
