Who it's for
For anyone who wants to know if their business makes money
Selling a lot and still coming up short is more common than it sounds. With your income and expenses in the same place you can see which months you kept money, which you didn't and which expense keeps growing. It's a way to keep tabs on your business: it isn't accounting and it doesn't replace your accountant.
Frequently asked questions
See all free toolsIs the template free?
Yes. Leave your email and it downloads right away. No card, no account.
Does it work in Google Sheets and on my phone?
Yes. It's built with formulas that work the same in Excel, Google Sheets and the Excel mobile app. For Google Sheets, upload it to your Drive and open it from there.
How do I track my business's income and expenses?
Log each transaction the day it happens, with its date, whether it's income or an expense, and its category. At the end of the month, add up the income, subtract the expenses, and what's left is what the business made. The template does that math for you for all twelve months.
Can I use it to file my taxes?
No. It's a way to see how your business is doing. It isn't accounting, it can't be used to file taxes and it doesn't replace your accountant.
What do you do with my email?
We use it to send you the template and, only if you ticked the box, to send you business tips now and then. We don't sell or share it, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

Your real profit, sale by sale
Arca knows what everything you sell cost you, so it tells you how much you made on each sale, not just how much came in. With the Pro plan it adds up your expenses and gives you the month's bottom line.
